Clandestine collective The Operatives and Sydney’s most inclusive, exclusive touring and events agency Brown Bear Entertainment (BBE) are proud to present a partnership of epic proportions, code name: BEAR OPS – their first mission offers the sounds and secretive sideshow of Cashmere Cat and Mr. Carmack.

Fresh from stand out performances across New Years festivals including Let Them Eat Cake, Origin and Field Day, continue the party with Cashmere Cat, Mr. Carmack and Melbourne’s own Friendships and Nam.

CASHMERE CAT is the production alias of young Norwegian producer Magnus August Høiberg – who has caught one to watch buzz last year from the single ‘With Me’ premiered with Zane Lowe on BBC Radio One & video premiere at Rolling Stone – not to mention 30+ international headline dates including a packed out SXSW, MMW & Music Hall of Williamsburg, spinning everything from glittering RnB, French Electro & 00’s club Hip Hop – this is wide, cinematic and unabashedly bright new dance music. Rarely does a new artist emerge with such a unique voice across their work – CASHMERE CAT unconcerned with where he fits with DJs and his music is smarter for it.

Last year MR CARMACK returned to Australia and NZ, armed to the teeth with his prolific cult productions for intimate club shows, this year he’s taken main stages across Australian and NZ and now at the debut BEAR OPS. Expect champagne and 808s and the sound track of the best dance-floor-fillers from across the globe and his label mates at Soulection, Team Supreme and Mad Decent – including his latest EP that dropped recently [get ‘Drugs’ via Bandcamp] – spanning club ready re-dits, thundering bass and perfectly-timed percussion, MR CARMACK adds his signature swing.
