Sepalcure’s combination of love for bass and 90s house acapellas is the culmination of a cathartic two week collaboration between Travis Stewart (Machinedrum) and Praveen Sharma (Praveen & Benoît). Their mix of tribal dub, house and two step beats works equally well for both late nights in the club and rainy, introspective nights at home. Detroit techno chords cut through wooden beats, neon synths and dubbed out atmospherics.

DJ Rashad is the foremost ambassador for Chicago Footwork. He relentlessly toured the world for the last three years since Footwork first entered the global consciousness via YouTube in the late 2000s. Before that, he’d been DJing and producing Footwork tracks in Chicago since the mid 90s.
Rashad is a tireless track-maker and the quintessential figure in the evolution of the contemporary Footwork sound from its origins in Ghetto House (the Dance Mania era of House Trax). With musical cohorts DJ Manny, DJ Spinn, Traxman, RP Boo & countless others, Rashad inspired a new wave of Footworkers in Chicago who dance exclusively to the sounds of Teklife.
Teklife is more than just dance music in Chicago — for DJ

Manny, it’s a way of life. At 22, Manny is undoubtedly the next generation’s brightest star both as a producer and as a dancer. On the MPC, Manny is known for crafting menacing tracks that blend saccharine soul with quick-fire percussion.
As a dancer, Manny’s floor skills are dominant — they’ve earned him membership in leading local dance crews including Uptown, Take Ova Gang, Taliban and Footwork super-group, Red Legends.
Manny’s dance moves and the sounds of Teklife are crafted in Chi-Town, but Footwork is today a uniquely global phenomenon with producers and dancers living that Teklife from Belgrade to Tokyo. Chicago Footwork is also invading the sounds of more mainstream EDM production, reminding DJs across world where House Music was born.
