Looking Out Looking In (LOLI) is a series of Spotify playlists presented by City of Melbourne, produced by The Operatives and curated by Melbourne based Artists, DJs, Radio Hosts presenting music from the city. It has gone through a series of Contemporary, Metal, Soul, Ambient, Hip Hop, First Nations, Electronic and an upcoming volume of Jazz.
With the success of the playlist, and the broad coverage of pop gems to musical rarities, it has been inevitable for the development of a series of pop up events aptly named LOLI POP UP. The event aligns with Make Music Day 2021 as well as activating Campbell Arcade to invigorate music activity in the city.
This debut edition of LOLI POP UP will feature Wax Museum’s GSM and Doc Felix as its live showcase of Melbourne Music Selectors. Taking the playlists to the streets. Playing a special vinyl only set, Representing Victorian music throughout the decades.
