The Operatives are proud to present the return tour of one of bass music’s most forward-thinking producers – OM UNIT. With a debut performance in Alice Springs and SOUNDCLASH in Melbourne featuring Soulection: Sound of Tomorrow and Warp Record’s Mark Pritchard, this is one revolutionary selector not to miss.

Over the past five years, OM UNIT has been a significant and pioneering presence electronic sphere, creating his own unique music that span his various influences — hip-hop, dubstep, ambient, jungle, footwork — into a fluid take on sound system culture that creates new potential for exploration and inspiration, with many following in his footsteps. Most recently, OM UNIT released Edits Vol.3 and Torchlight Vol. 2 on his own acclaimed label Cosmic Bridge – home of releases from the likes of Box Cutter and Moresounds

He is also a sought after DJ; with over 300 appearances in clubs and festivals in more than 30 countries and counting. In line with his desire to imagine new potentials for dance music has appeared on varied bills from the Montreux Jazz Festival to Bass Coast and to this side of the globe at Sydney Opera House and MONA.

A keen scholar of all music, he draws from the past and present to imagine the future, never content to remain in the same place for too long. The moniker OM UNIT after all, means the spoken essence of a man on a mission.
