Following on from the last six months of unforgettable parties celebrating WEARE10 years of The Operatives, we are proud to jump into the second half of the year co-presenting the on-the-rise NYC producer SWEATER BEATS alongside partners in crime and Thursday nights Utopia.
SWEATER BEATS quickly became one of HW&W’s most prolific producers with his distinctive brand of vocal-chopped R&B and future-pop. The self-described ‘maker of music to make your booty bounce’ caught the attention of the LA label and the likes of Diplo with his self-released track ‘You Know it’s Love’. Inspired as much by the Brazillian funk records his dad used to play around the house as the work of producers Pharell, Daft Punk and Timbaland who he still cities as heroes today, Sweater Beats is at the forefront of the Jersey club sound hitting dance-floors around the globe. Now after dropping his latest EP – the aptly titled – ‘That Feel’, as well as collaborations with B. LEWIS and P. MORRIS, a US tour with TA-KU and some irresistible Boiler Room sets, SWEATER BEATS is back in Melbourne – for what promises to be one set hotter than a jumper in the middle of summer.
