Friday night, we soundtrack some of the best artists in the country……
It is with great excitement that we now return to our urban roots (after a bit of a regional tour including the Silo Art Trail and Wall to Wall Festival) in inner-city Melbourne to launch the Upper West Side Street Art Precinct, in partnership with Far East Consortium, Citypower/Powercor and ourselves, Juddy Roller.
Located on the corner of Spencer St and Little Bourke St and Watertank Way, 220 Spencer St the first stage of the precinct will feature new murals by 6 of Australia’s most internationally recognised street artists, Rone, Adnate, Smug, Fintan Magee, Sofles and Dvate. Collectively, the artists have over 1,000,000 followers on social media, so it is safe to say this will be a very high profile event that will add to Melbourne’s reputation as a world leader in the art form.
The project will take place from the 1st of December on Little Bourke St, just up from Spencer St, with live painting. Around the corner in Watertank Way, 220 Spencer St will be food trucks, Colonial Brewing Co Port Melbourne licensed bar and Dj’s all weekend until 9pm.
