A local to the city of Melbourne, Australia – DJ Smilez has been recognized to have changed the path from a nightclub DJ to one of the most respected within the industry. He made a name for himself not only for his choice of music but for the energy he brings when playing – by championing a sound that blends Latin Rhythms, Baile Funk and Hip-Hop.

Mastering his skills for over 6 years, from practicing in his “home studio” to local nightclubs, bars – even remembering his first gig at a Melbourne venue Horse Bazaar, which may seem underwhelming to some, however to him, it was a humble step into what would turn out to be a career he could only dream of – this is where he has been able to perfect his ability to cross- sonic boundaries and step out of the shadow as just the-ordinary-nightclub-DJ and transform into someone who is admired for his unaccustomed visions and creativity.

Amongst other interests such as working with new-start photographers and videographers in creating unconventional concepts for content, strategizing marketing plans and so forth, Smilez continues to find ways to improve and develop his skills to release new remixes and mixtapes – aside from all that he also has a keen interest in exploring the depths of composing his own sounds/music which will give him the opportunity to showcase his technical control and creativity in producing musical content.
